While this is not a coupon-related activity, I still think of it as related because oftentimes a freebie will include a coupon for you to purchase another, larger quantity item in the future.

In the last 12 months, I've gotten more than 250 items for free (in the mail). And this is without even trying to find something every day like some people do. Items have included sample packets of shampoo products, pet food, food items, air fresheners, toothpaste, energy bars - many items I have now put away for survival preps and possible barter items.

I mentioned in another post that I use a 'disposable' email address when I request things like coupons (and free samples) - when the manufacturer requests an email address. It helps to keep my personal email address less-cluttered with spam.

Many 'free offers' available on the internet are legitimate, but a few are NOT and have been a way for scammers to collect your personal information. Those of you who work or have worked in IT and Networking have seen and have had to fix a pc that gets infected. I don't want any of you to experience that fallout from having to get your pc reformatted because a bug got in. I will only share items I have tried, that come from sources that I trust - like Target, Walmart (they also have frequent free sample offers), AllYou, and directly from a manufacturer.

Beyond using only known sources, I also use a virus checker (I use avast), and a malware checker (Malwarebytes). I recommend you make sure your pc protection is up to date and running when putting in any personal information.

Biotrue contact lens solution sample:

Target's website has a folder for free samples, occasionally they have offers here:

Today they have a sample of Biotrue for people who qualify based on answers provided on 5 or 6 questions. I have worn contacts for awhile, I use a competing brand, and I answered every bullet point about 'what would I change about my current brand'. The final screen tells me I'll receive a free sample in 8-10 weeks.

And this reminds me: for those of you who wear contacts, do you also have a pair of glasses with your current Rx, in case something happens tomorrow? If not - might be time to get current.

All You is a monthly magazine available at Walmart, and by subscription. This magazine usually includes $50-$100 value in manufacturer coupons. They also have a website and one topic is their Daily Free Samples finds. Not sure if this is a good permalink, but it worked today:

Today (Aug 6) their free sample find is Victoria's Secret Fragrance sample, where you have to go to the store to redeem it. On other days, they will include a link to a manufacturer's site offering a free sample. Sometimes the freebie is a download of a .pdf for something like a cookbook or a kids activity book.

If you scroll to about halfway down the page, you will also see prior date offers and a 'scroll back' button - which will show you prior dates with sample offers. Many of these offers may no longer be available, but some might - it's worth checking them if the freebie is something you can use.

If you have Facebook and a CVS in town, they are offering a free 2oz travel sized CVS brand sunscreen. You'll need to 'like' their page, and give them your email address, then expect an email with a link to print a coupon to redeem.

Do you have a Sears Outlet Store which sells apparel near you? If so, every Tuesday (through Aug. 28) they offer a coupon for a free piece of apparel (excludes outerwear, leather coats, levis and dresses).
